Nora Aguilera has over 14 years of experience in the staffing industry.  She currently supports Balance Staffing as the Branch Manager for the Salinas California Branch office.  Since taking leadership in the Salinas Branch, Nora has motivated her team of Account Managers, Recruiters, and Assistants to provide the best quality service they can.  Under her leadership, the Salinas Branch has seen an increase in GP and revenue year after year.

While Nora’s hands-on approach to management has resulted in successful branch growth, she never misses an opportunity to point out that it’s a team effort.  She refers to her team as concentrated, capable, and very supportive of each other.  “Our team is always saying “We Got This!” because even when things get tough, the team always has each other’s backs.  Whether that’s filling orders after hours or on the weekends or stepping up to handle a client’s last-minute request – we’re always there to help each other out”, Nora says.

Clients of the Salinas Branch benefit from such a tightly-knit team culture.  One of the branch’s larger clients uses multiple staffing firms to meet demand.  However, on an occasion when the client was experiencing an issue that included multiple workforce injuries, the Balance Salinas Branch was the only staffing firm on the client’s roster that proactively assisted with problem resolution by sending their Account Manager, Maribel Robles, to the client location to do walkthroughs of the work environment after hours.  The client was impressed by the branch team’s commitment to excellence.

The team also collaborates on projects outside the office by partnering with non-profit shelters of displaced families, offering donation and adoption assistance, especially during the holidays.  When the branch team recognizes a charity that’s important to one of their clients, they often participate with donations.  For example, when branch Account Manager Jessica Alarcon realized that a client was partnering with a local shelter to gather socks and underwear for the needy, Jessica proactively participated in the client’s donation drive, much to the client’s surprise and delight.

If that wasn’t enough, the team also spends time at local high schools, offering students insight into career opportunities and resume building.  Ultimately, the Salinas Branch of Balance Staffing is more than a group of individuals working together – they’re a close-knit team collaborating in a supportive co-working family culture.  As Nora explains, “we laugh together, even when we’re stressed.  We hold each other accountable, and we each make sure that we lift each other up when one of our team members is down.”
