Alani Suon-Vann has over 20 years of experience in the staffing industry. She currently supports Balance Staffing as the Branch Manager for the San Jose California Branch office which first opened its doors in 2013.
Our team is very customer service centric. We have a track record of going above and beyond typical staffing services by partnering with our clients, in a multi-faceted way, to help solve even their most complex hiring needs. Whether we’re participating in job fairs, facilitating on-site job preview tours, or helping clients to bypass interviews into a “working interview” for faster candidate qualification and placement – our team remains flexible and innovative to meet the client’s needs. We also act as advisors by building partnered relationships with our clients. We actively listen to their needs and proactively share market hiring data or provide input on job descriptions.
We are on track to surpass our $15M revenue from last year and we expect to exceed our new goal of $20.5M. A major part of the effort involved bringing on several new Account Managers to handle additional accounts and to help recruit new clients. We now hold the number one account in the company while also taking part in other strategic accounts that are in the top 5. Our San Jose Team is a well-oiled machine with solid members who have a winning mentality.
Our team does a particularly great job of accurately tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These KPIs ensure that we’re hitting our benchmarks for customer satisfaction, productivity, and so much more. In addition to this, both our Account Managers and our Recruiters act with a sense of urgency to ensure that clients and candidates alike are being taken care of. Most importantly, we have overall great team camaraderie.
Everyone supports each other and collaborates well together on a daily basis. We celebrate every win, every offer, and every acceptance together. Our group mentality is win-and-lose as a team. On Fridays, we like to close out our week with a “Friday Funny” where team members share work-friendly jokes. We hold a virtual social event every 6 weeks where we split up into teams and battle it out with online games like trivia and icebreaker exercises – it’s a lot of fun.
We have partnered with two Non-Profit organizations: SourceWise & Unity Care. SourceWise provides support to senior citizens and the elderly who do not have immediate support for doing normal daily activities such as grocery shopping or trips to their doctor’s appointments, etc. Our team volunteered their personal time on a couple of events sponsored by the organization. One involved providing handwritten warm felt messages to senior citizens during the holidays. At another event, we stuffed rapid COVID kits to be sent to seniors living in Santa Clara County. We also partner with Unity Care, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of foster youth. We’re currently assisting with a boot camp workshop that helps foster youth prepare for the transition out of the foster care system and into the workforce. We assist with anything from helping with resume generation and mock interview training.
