Balanced Diversity is a specialty division of Balance Staffing that offers a Diversity-Centric approach to talent acquisition. The division is unique due to its woman and minority-owned small business status.
The Sacramento, CA branch of Balanced Diversity is a relatively new team, led by Deanna Taylor who has over five years of experience managing teams in the staffing industry.
Deanna describes the Sacramento branch as a team that values diversity. Each member of the team recognizes their peers’ individual strengths and preferences, so they’re able to assign tasks that will ultimately boost each team member’s performance. Dianna explains that “each of our team members is valued for their unique talents and skillsets”. The team’s different skill-sets, ways of thinking, experiences, idea generation, and diverse problem-solving abilities collectively help to create the dynamic team that works together today.
When it comes to clients, the Sacremento Diversity Branch loves getting to know their clients and the culture/dynamics of each client’s office. They work diligently to ensure they only recruit talent that adheres to each company’s individual culture while staying transparent with their client communication.
This year, the Sacramento Branch has had its highest quarter in headcount, revenue, and gross profit. According to Deanna, they achieve this by maintaining great relationships with the hiring managers that they currently service, executing on what their staffing needs are, asking for the opportunity to expand into different departments of the company, building and maintaining pipelines for quick backfills if needed, and of course by gaining new clients.
One of many things that the diversity branch team does well is trust each other and offer one-another support, which makes for a cohesive work environment both in and out of the office. The team recently volunteered at the 29th Annual Jalapeno Golf Classic to raise funds for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce ~ Joe Serna Jr. Scholarship Fund.
As a team, the Diversity division of Sacremento adheres strongly to its core value of innovation. Deanna stresses the importance of innovation within their team, stating that they are “committed to finding innovative ways to attract talent, increase efficiency by making strategic changes to existing or new processes, and increase the branding of our diversity & inclusion certifications.”
